Just do it!
Having a good memory helps. If I have met a great candidate, they will stay in my mind for years to come. Some of my top candidates and clients in 2017, are people I met with 5 or even 10 years ago. It’s why I always push candidates to come and meet us. But staying in touch when there is nothing active to discuss with them, can be hard. Our software has hotlists to help you remember people and blocking time in your diary for catch up calls is also a useful way to manage your time. But there is no magic bullet. It is an important thing to do if you want longevity in recruitment and you just have to get on with it.
